Westside
No offence taken! I sleep pretty well and as such am happy to pay half the price for a cabin as it were!

Have spoken to the Lovely Dawn (well, she sounded as though she was) at Brittany Ferries.

The cabin thing, as Westside said, is compulsory when booking your crossing. TLD said that once we've made our bookings with a cabin each, we can call them and they'll rationalise things and cancel/refund the additional unwanted cabins.

I've made my booking and if anyone wants to share the (potentially four-berth) cabin (and costs! ), let me know and we can sort things out.

Are you thinking of doing any Picos da Europa or are you just thinking of Portugal?

How do you usually do your thing? 1 day driving - 1 day rest or 2 days driving - 1 day rest?

Do you avoid motorways like the plague?

We're route planning now... and the Picos de Europa are likely on our first day... or on day six(ish), depending on the route we take into Portugal...
We vary the schedule, with some 2-day drives back-to-back, and some just 1-day drives, with a rest day.
You can see what we did last year here: Le Parc Life Blatt
And we most definitely do not do motorways!

Actually, checking the likely route, we will be south of the Picos de Europa, with our first stop in the Fuentes Carrionas y Fuente Cobre Natural Park...
To get to the Picos de Europa is a fair detour.

Me too - because I hate blokes farts and snores.

Oh right - well I decided not to drive down through France as may have been previously reported (sorry Phil) as I had a rather stern word from someone who basically told me not to take the piss
