Just back from my hols and suffering jet-lag..........I've read through all of the post and am a little confused (not difficult). Are the days of the proposed trip 26/06-10/07?

I really want to come and last year the leaving date was 19th July? I've got a road trip planned (ferry booked) leaving 19th June and returning 3rd July (Santander and then Southern Spain) so may have to bow out....

We are on the Tuesday 26th June outbound 08:45 ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao, arriving about 14:30 the following day.
We will be staying near Portsmouth the night before.

The return is Tuesday 10th July, 17:00 from Cherbourg to Portsmouth.



Anyone else coming will have to book their own ferries...

Route planning and hotels/B&Bs will now commence.
Bookings will only be made for those that have ferries booked.
(Hedge, Frank & LJ Silver are talking about driving down, leaving the Sat/Sun before...)

it will require negotiation as it is to be away a fortnight, let alone a further few days as well! (can't find the "under the thumb" emoji... )

Have you boys booked a cabin too? (or do I need to for the next tranche? if so, presume 1-4 berth as best value...?)

And further bookings will need to book cabins too (Westside may have one to share???)
Normally you have to have one per car, but Uncle Albert organised one for the three of us.

And remember anyone can do just part of the trip...

A cabin is an option when booking...

From last year's experience, the four person cabin would be tight with four in it - three max I'd suggest (and I suspect Uncle Albert agrees!)

Westside, did you book one? If not, I will and whoever next books can bunk in with us.

As it is an overnight, you have to book a cabin regardless.
