I doubt I ever will be.
Colouring in is 'work'?

It is just another form of digital colouring in

Hi Steve,
Excellent choice of camera - I 'followed your advice' and obtained one as well.
Quality and ease of use is really good.
What software would you recommend for the joining together of the MOV files?
TIA

Hi Dave - I just use Windows Movie Maker...

Simple, and does the job!

Unfortunately my Windows Movie Maker will not open the Mobius MOV files (Windows XP service pack 3 Movie Maker 2.1.4028)
Regardless I have installed QuickTime pro - a crap programme but it does stitch the MOV files together. (I loathe Apple)
Any other helpful tips to a better solution much appreciated.

Ah - you probably don't have the correct codec installed.
Try installing the 'Combined Community Codec Pack'.
http://www.cccp-project.net/

That has most codecs, and may fix the problem.

Thanks Steve, downloaded and installed but no difference.
No problems, against my better judgement I have installed QuickTime Pro which does what I need. (like you I absolutely despise Apple...)

Mmmmm - it should work, as you just need the H.264 codec to be installed...
Try a Google search?

For those interested, after having fun editing the LongWayUp! videos I've done a slight 'mod' to my Mobius camera...
(I hope you have enjoyed the videos??? See the LongWayUp - in pictures & video thread...)

The one issue I found was with audio, as the internal mic is badly affected by wind noise - obviously.

So, I've changed it to a remote mic on a cable!

Mobius

The sound is now great, even when moving at speed as I can keep the mic out of the wind!

Just found an interesting looking cheap GoPro type camera.
Actually, they were selling it on a recent easyJet flight...

For sale for £49.99 here:

But why go for the cheap copy when you can have the real thing?

GoPro Hero now £99.00 Great value and the real thing.
http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/gopro-HERO-uk.html

Of for those seeking all the bells a whistles
The GoPro 4 Silver with touch screen £289.95
http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/gopro-HERO4-silver-uk.html

And keep this one hush hush but if you Click Here you might find a 10% discount code

I do have the GoPro 4 Silver and can tell you it is a cracking bit of kit and the screen makes life very easy.
But then the standard Hero will deliver and is great value.
