Looking for a cheap dash/car cam - nothing expensive, but something that has reasonable quality.
Not looking for a GoPro level of camera.

Anyone got any experience of cheap cameras?

Pass but they are on the ball,they don't sell rubbish.
You are always going to struggle with wind noise in a car, thats why the remote mic works so week on the GoPro's etc
Like most things you get what you pay for really.
i might even be able to sort some discount if there is a few takers

I think the 'Wide' version would be better.
Some sound on the clips too.

Cheap SD cards cause issues
With the GoPro we only use class 10 memory cards

Ive got the Polaroid XS7, camera is great to be fair, not a lot of money but sound is carp. Noticed Amazon sell an aux mic for it but the camera has nowhere for it to plug into

But need to turn volume down

Get 2nd hand 16Gb iPod Nano 3rd or 4th generation, can't remember which, well, the one with the camera, put an earpiece with integrated microphone, a piece of foam and wiring duct tape around the latter to avoid vibration/buffeting and you are set.

It's what I use.

Some teenager might want to get rid of is oh so old iPod and hand it for free
