Looking at the France 2020 trip, here's a suggested itinerary:

• Overnight ferry, depart Portsmouth 23:00
• Stop 1: 2 nights near the seaside at <a href="https://savenaycotelac.fr/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Hotel Cote Lac</a>
• Stop 2: 2 nights at <a href="https://www.auberge-limousin.fr/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">L'Escala Dau Lemosi</a>. The Swifts live nearby, hopefully we can meet up and take them for lunch by the lake
• Stop 3: 2 nights somewhere near Fai's restaurant <a href="https://www.lemanoirdesaintquentin.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Le Manoir de Saint Quentin</a>, where we'll have lunch on the rest day
• Stop 4: 1 night stop at <a href="http://www.chateau-de-sarceaux.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Le Chateau</a>
• Usual evening return ferry from Cherboug to Portsmouth
• Total 8 days away, same as 2019.

Ferrys to avoid Wimbledon fortnight and Classic Le Mans:

• Thursday 18 June 2020 23:00 Portsmouth to Le Havre £79
• Friday 26 June 2020 17:00 Cherbourg to Portsmouth £125
