Nice route.......fantastic seafood in La Rochelle town. Just sayin......

285 on the day we pass La Rochelle... just sayin'...

On the return, there are some great sea-side restaurants along Sword Beach...
So should be a good alternative to our usual last stop just outside Cherbourg.
(And we go over Pegasus Bridge - and yes, I know it's not the original...)

Actually been there, done that...
(Many, many years ago.)

But, as we are doing 285 miles that day, a detour to Il de Re, or La Rochelle, just isn't on the cards...

And we do need a seaside lunch location for day 2, while staying at Cote Lac!!!

The hotel on day two looks to have a decent restaurant.
It's a 30 min drive into St. Nazaire to the beach - probably not a wise idea

We need somewhere to go for lunch on the day off...
And we know the restaurant at Cote Lac is good!
