Had one like that on mine for 5 years now, should have patented it. In truth I fitted a new one yesterday made out of nice perforated stainless sheet instead of the Partners litter bin the previous one was made from.

I know others have made such stone guards before - just taken me years to get around to making mine...
Been running open cam belts for some time - approx 20 years!!!



But with the up-coming epic Classic Le Mans run I started to worry more...

So, how about a piccy or two of your old and new stone guard???

When I used to Rallycross I made one out of Lexan. Tougher and lighter.
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

So, decided to make a stone guard...

Not as professional or as pretty as Eugenes but here is a pic of mine.
It's been on the car for some 20 years so looking very battered and tatty. The rearmost part is bent down at an angle with the bottom edge just below sump height - it helps as a warning before the cast sump actually gets belted! (as you may see it's been attacked on one corner!
The thing is held on with releasable cable ties so is a doddle to remove and re-attach.
