Have eaten at Gilbert Scott's a couple of times; being Marcus Wareing, I recall it being eye-wateringly pricey (ditto the wine) but thoroughly enjoyable!

Liked Hawksmoor too, especially the London Pride-based gin, ginger cocktail to start with and awesome meat (and doggy bag) that followed!

Ledbury is spectacular (as you'd hope with its two Michelin stars)

Given how we pissed off the Indian with our volume last time out, these aren't necessarily appropriate venues... but we can moderate to match the ambience, can't we!

my thoughts were the same and i didn't even think we were that loud in the indian, not fussed what we eat but for a lads night i for one don't need michelin stars, just the bog club company ,beer and a some laughs followed by a pastie at waterloo on the way home,if you are thinking going posh then lunch may be a better time to do it followed by the pub after .
Frank will go with the flow.

"but we can moderate to match the ambience, can't we!" .... maybe then the beer starts... then its phoning the restaurant for a takeaway from the table and diving in the water feature....followed by Hatter going walkabout and Uncle making a FacePlant.....

Cant wait....

Well, there's this kebab van l know in a car park at the side of the north circ it's a bit dangerous because it's a bit close to the carriageway but with a couple of cans it will be fine .

The attendees are the important part of such a get-together, so am flexible re venue...

If enough fancy going upmarket, how about a lunch? Most flash places offer an excellent value table d'hôte that would moderate the expenditure...

If not, and we're not going for a Ruby how about booking a table at a decent pub? (yes, I would prefer a staff discount-friendly Fuller's place!) That would offer a good range of food styles (including stuff that is TeaBag-compatible) as well as ensure we don't have to drink over-priced, under-flavoured lager!
