7-DNA's Mark Northfield has arranged a private visit to Rolls Royce restorers/dealers P&A Wood. The visit starts with refreshments at 10am on Saturday 2 July at P&A Wood's reception in Great Easton, Essex.

We've been offered a full tour of the restoration and service workshops and the dealership. I reckon this will be a cracking day out; they are one of the country's leading vintage Rolls and Bentley restorers, so there are sure to be lots of fantastic cars in the workshops, proper old school quality engineering.

The visit is free of charge, but I suggest we each make a donation on the day to the Stroke charity supported by P&A Wood. I will arrange a pre or post visit blat and pub lunch nearer the time.

The visit has a maximum of 20 people (not 20 cars). Please email me this week if you want to come and are sure you can make it. If spaces remain I'll then broadcast on Blatchat next week.

Mmm... considering that Great Easton is just down the road from me it would be rude not to try and make this one.

Just a suggestion, but you could do a detour via The Hare Pub, Roxwell for some pre tyre kicking first and then head up to Great Easton as this will coincide with the Hare's first Saturday of the month car meet (free coffee and pastries). Would need to leave the Hare by 9:30 at the latest and would mean parking carefully not to get blocked in (there's additional parking over the road but to be safe would need to aim to get there for 08:00 - 08:15 - an early start!).

Last Saturday's was the first of season and there was something for everyone.
