How do the Le BOG Club boys fancy doing The Seven Tours International Meeting, Douro Valley, Portugal, between 21st and 24th May?

The plan would be a ferry to Bilbao or Santander, for a quick blatt in to the Douro Valley.
A few days in and around the area, doing some or all of the events adaraujo has planned.
Then a three day run back to Caen for the vomit comet ferry back home.

So, what do we all think???

The other is the 'Suisse Normande - Normandie', and then down to La Rochelle and Île de Ré...

Any idea on approx costs and i guess its a 7/8 day trip, its a busy year ahead for me and i promised myself that i would take mrs s away in the 7 somewhere aswell.

I would guess that yes, it would be a 7 to 8 day trip...
Ferry cost should be about the same as this year's Classic Le Mans.
Hotels and that will be the variable there after.

But, it this the trip we want to do?

The North France 'Suisse Normande' trip would a shorter and cheaper option.
(But should a good run!)

This time last year we had 'The Long Way Up' all sorted - we need to get a move on!
So, who would prefer what trip???

so overnight friday ferry to cherbourg/caen/le havre, route normande saturday, hotel, meal, drop of calvados maybe, upto cherbourg sunday am for the fastcat back ..?

We were thinking ferry to Cherbourg/Caen/Le Havre (not necessarily overnight), then down to Suisse Normande for a 2 nights, to give one day to look around.
Then head down to Ile De Re for another couple of days.
Then back home.
Great roads, food and drinks all the way...
