Next meet is Sunday 9 November. The Moon & Stars car park was full, all tables reserved and reception a bit frosty last month, so we need a new pub. Will post details on Wednesday and will pick one of these 2:

Ok, had a couple of at The Fox & Duck.

A nice pub, but rammed, and bugger all free parking, and the landlord said that was a slow Sunday...
So, not ideal for us!

I think we'll go to The Woodman

The Woodman is getting a little far for me

Rubbish - we often pass just by it on our run to the Moon & Stars!



And it's no further from you than Ashwell was...

Anyway, we'll try it this Sunday and decide from there.

By a little far i mean the times i use the van, i won't be if the pub is the other side of the A10.
So as they say, Im Out

Trying a few different possible venues to pick the best is all good fun!

The Jolly Waggoner is a good pub, in a great location, and as it is associated with the farm/shop directly opposite, has a lot of available hard standing parking - and we can use the coffee shop rather than the pub if wanted...

Checked out The Rising Sun - hic...
Nice pub, and actually has a Classic Car meet the first Monday on the month, and the Triumph Sports Six Club on the 4th Monday.

But, they say that are usually fully booked for Sunday lunch - 2 sittings - so not ideal for us

I think we will continue to try out different pubs in the area ready for December's meeting!
Next up is The Red Lion, Weston, and The Three Horseshoes, Hinxworth...

However, I think The Jolly Waggoner, Ardeley, is looking good as it is run by Church farm, directly opposite, so has plenty of space, and a great coffee shop too!

It's a hard job, but someone has to do it!!!

Hi, new guy on the block, is Knebworth the wrong direction, the reason I say, is they have a Harley group meet there, and the manager lays on roast tatties, and all sorts free, they love it.
