So i have been at college the last 3 years Doing a motor vehicle course and achieved a level 1 and 2 and 3 Diploma in it. So alls fine there.

So i have spent the last few weeks looking for a job/ apprenticeship in the trade.
So i have sent my cv off to pretty much every where. Have heard back from a couple of places saying there not looking for people.
I did have an interview at Audi but never heard back. So yes is rude but i at least i got an interview.

Last week got a phone call from someone in the HR dept at Aston Martin, saying that due to my college course I'm 'over qualified' for an apprenticeship but am 'under qualified' for a job.
Thought nothing of it. But i have been told the same by 5 or 6 other companies.
So how does that work then? Or is it just a 'nice' way of saying no? As it is confusing me

Unfortunately, you are not alone...
I have heard similar from other's in different industries.
It seems to be a sign of the times.

A friend of mine had a similar experience, he completed an apprenticeship in body repairs, and as soon as the company had to put his wages up they got rid of him saying he was now too expensive to employ!

Good luck in your search
