Anything else to check?

We are off to the Sth of France again on Monday, going Portsmouth to st Malo. Now the car is 25 years old and built by a buffoon, me.I've checked the pads etc, changed the cambelt, plugs, oil & filter etc anything else I should look at before we depart? Apart from everything as that's impossible.I have spare throttle and clutch cables, but mrs P won't let me put anything else in her suitcase!

		That's a big case!!! But, sounds like you have the obvious bases covered - but I'd check all suspension components and mountings - the front rose joints, and all wheel bearings... Le Presidente

		Give the car a heavy sideways rock from the rollbar to check your y16 central bush for wear, if its a bit sloppy it feels horrible

		Remember the NO DIESEL sticker to put next to your fuel cap to avoid that Mike Ebery/Eugene oh **** moment
