The fifth test for my caterham this Friday (kit built by me in 2007)
I use H Engineering in Tunbridge Wells who are caterham friendly & last time only charged £30.
Hopefully it will pass OK but the emissions seem a bit more of a struggle each time. I must give it a good thrashing on the way over & get the cat nice & hot.
Always something interesting to look at as well. They had a an ex Footwork F1 car in there recently, interesting to have a close look!

Hmmm, not sure if the rules have changed recently as my 2007 roadsport just had a visual check this year (month ago) where as it had a full emissions test on all previous years at the same garage

Hopefully you may not need to worry

There are different rules for different vehicles of different ages, with/without a Cat, especially when kit built...

I never knew that F1 cars needed an MoT:

The chap was preparing it for F1 masters.
The electrics looked hideously complex & being old school F1 not much factory support either!
Odd thing with my roadsport is that held at 2K revs the emisions are fine but much either side of that & it fails. The tester is pretty sympathetic (especially when I tip him a tenner for greasing the propshaft UJ's
He said caterhams can be a bit of a nightmare to pass.:

You need a garage like the one I use, who just grins and says, lets have a laugh and test the emissions anyway, he always looks a little disappointed when it passes
