Fuel Gauge

Just picked up my replacement 7 following demise of SLR No 31.

S3 1994 K series 1.4, initially I thought the fuel gauge was fluctuating due to fuel movement. However whilst sat in M25 traffic with nothing better to do I noted that it is pulsing at a regular interval roughly equating to 1/4 tank up and down. It looks like some sort of voltage stabilization issue. Anyone had this and know the fixes to save me a bit of time.

I have pretty well given up with the new L7 blatchat, dropped the membership in any case. I strongly suspect 7DNA will have a lot of migration as this just does what it needs to. That and a lot of people seem to be on both in any case.

Thanks in advance

My first thoughts would be your sensor earth isn't connected very well.

There is (on my 7) a voltage regulator behind the dash...
Worth checking that too.
