Whilst chatting when queuing for chips in Aberdify Hedge was recommending I get a decent camping mattress for Le Mans. Can't remember the details (a self-inflating something or other). Dave, can you remind me what you have and/or send a link to the kind of thing I should buy?

Any other stuff I should get? (I'm hiring a Le Bounty 1-man tent)

Or will I be too pickled to care about any of the above?

If I were you Stuart I'd nick a couple of air bags out of an old Volvo to get a good nights sleep ,
or just have a couple more beers

Thermarest are the original brand of self inflating mattress. They come in varying thicknesses but I would recommend going for the thickest your wallet and available packing space can cope with.

I would not recommend the self inflating mattresses... they are just not thick enough to be comfortable.
But, check with Garcon at Le Bounty (or Johnhere) as I'm sure the tent you have rented comes with a nice thick blow-up mattress!!!

Yep all tents come with an air bed, better than those silly self inflating things (plus ours could be the only thing that will go down on you during your stay with us).
