Ok with daytime temperatures up 30+degC, is it too hot for blatting?

No. I went out on Saturday and the temp in my back garden was 34.9c and it was lovely when moving. The only downside was the sunlight flickering through trees that made it driving a bit difficult as I had left my Stetson at home.
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
