To add my personal experience with young people and Sevens. My boy will be 21 in May. My intention, when eventually I get the Seven, is that I'll do most of the driving, but I will want to occasionally share the car with my son. I contacted MSM, the only firm that would cover him at 20, they quoted just over £200 for me, then for the occasions when me and the lad fancy an expedition, I can add him for a week at a time for about £40. This compares to £2.5K to cover both of us for the year.
Whilst this situation may not suit everyone, particularly those younger drivers wanting to drive more frequently, it's ideal for us and for what I believe is a mighty fine price. MSM kindly agreed to mirror the maximum NCD held in insurance with Mannings on another car. I'm sure without that, the figures would be much scarier.
Colouring in is 'work'?
