Hi ,

I have been going to Le Mans now for 7 years and have always gone with The L7 club /Speedchills . This year we thought we would change as the atmosphere in SC is poor although it is v handy for the track .What is Le Bounty like.

Normally we BBQ our own food but I see that Bounty includes food..Is it any good ?

Also how often are the buses during the race and is there a late bus on the Thur after night practice .

Thanks in advance

It would not be fair of me to make judgement on my own venue so I'll leave others to comment. Food is mainly traditional English fayre and all freshly cooked in our commercial kitchen. The fact that we have a growing contingent of Lotus & Caterham 7's from Le Bog Club and LAD's 7 is hopefully proof enough.

is there a late bus on the Thur after night practice

During the race minibuses run all day from breakfast time to "late", usually about 3am, but not right through the night as in the interests of safety we need fresh rested drivers in the morning. A few die hards go out on the "last" bus and get collected in the morning to come back for showers and breakfast before heading back to the race.

The buses mainly park, drop and collect at Expo Parking (up the hill from the main museum entrance) and there are other drop and collection points near Terte Rouge and also just up from there at the Green Hotel for those taking trams in and out of the city centre. We also run buses to/from Mulsanne corner & Mulsanne Camping/forest, one of the best viewing points on circuit some say. We run buses to and from Thursday practice including a night pick up at the end. Generally we run buses later to/from Mulsanne corner which is near Le Bounty. For the most part buses run well but hey...it is Le Mans!

Le BOG Club have been using Le Bounty since before 'Garcon' and his team took it over...

We obviously have a great time there

Being south of the circuit we often drive to various viewing points, as traffic is easy, and we get a parking ticket along with the General ticket so we can park near an entrance.
However, the shuttle bus service is available too, and many use it!

But the main reason we go there is the atmosphere is rather entertaining!!!

And with a bar on-site, as well as la boule d'or just up the road, what more do you need!

Just to keep you guys up to date with the venue Le Bounty.
We have new managers managing Le Bounty starting 1st week of March Mike and Silvia.
The shower and loo cabins are being fully refurbished for 2014, as is the ladies shower, washroom and loo.
An electric hand dryer will be fitted in the loo cabin (and ladies loo).
Gone are to single loo rolls these are being replaced with jumbo toilet roll dispensers.
The present pedestal washbasins will go and be replaced with 3 vanity type basins in 1 unit.
The urinals will be fitted with a roof and a handbasin fitted (and if I can find it the auto flush will also will be fitted)
Wifi (free) will be available 24 hours in and around the restaurant area (providing Orange don't have a paddy like they did this year).
