Hi Folks,
Mark here from Kent. Fell into 'kits' a few years ago with a Tiger Supercat that i refurbed ( well the garage did) from the ground up......got fed up pretty fast running around by myself and formed SKCC and made a heap of car pals to share in the banter with. Sadly parked the car somewhere that caused the ins co. to part with a cheque last year.......

Took me ages to find something i fancied and even then i knew it would need a few mods to make it 'mine'......

Its a Tiger R6. Had it a little over a year now and of that guess its had about 4-5mths of fettling......
Threw on my old brakes and pedal box, moved the engine back a couple of inches and fitted my old engine refreshed with dry sump, lightweight f/wheel and a new BGH gearbox. Gave the garage a challenge in fitting an LSD which meant chopping the de-dion to get the shafts to fit......and the luxury of an 8+ gall tank as i hate filling up with amber nectar. cant recall all the other bits n pieces -aside from a new paint job and a little homage to LM courtesy of a friendly airbrusher.......

Been using it all summer, and hopefully shortly it'll get the final piece of work done which is a new big valve head....based on a trial we did in Spring hoping for about 250/255 and then hopefully next year it'll be business as usual....back to racking up plenty of miles & smiles....

daft as it sounds i dont have many of this car.....this is the only one i can find on this pc.....
it was taken on this years road trip back in May and from memory it's Wales somewhere......5 of us out of the teh 20+ cars on the trip had just completed the most surreal blat, the last part at a brisk pace, the early section though will stay in the mind for a while: We popped up over a hill through about 12 farm gates and through ooodles of mud, the view of the bay below was stunning, equally stunned were the 2 recovery trucks that appeared from the other direction - hauling old Rangies for a spot of off roading. They couldnt believe that we'd taken our cars along that route!

Spec......
tweaked 2.0 zetec currently with a silvertop head that's had some basic work done, making 208, forged pistons and rods, lightweight crank, pace dry sump and elec water pump, running jenveys on DTA, mapped by the Steves. Had a trial blacktop head fitted earlier in the year but had some fueling issues to sort out - as a result the builder decided to pull it of and pop the temp head on allowing him to work some more on the new one, which has oversized valves. Expecting to squeeze 250 out of the new one as the builder is on a personal mission. The old car had 230 by the Steves, hoping that the new one and the new gearbox will give it a decent kick......

Stopping it are Hi-Spec Billet 4's on the front and Hi-Spec 2 pot rears.....on 15inch Team Dynamics 1.2 wheels at the mo shod with Federal 595rs, next time will go back to the Toyo R1R......

Car is kept on road all year round, normally hit 10-11k miles a year, mainly weekend runs with the odd road trip. Haven't tracked this one yet, may get tempted to a last minute TD in Nov at Brands which is a cple of miles away......

Welcome to 7-DNA
DO you know Tony, he owns a Cat7 in same colors as yours? Lives in Kent too, not sure where in Kent though - I only see him when he comes to Wales to blat with us Locals
I'll see if I can dig up a pic of his car and post it here.

Hi Mark. Is your Tiger a 4.2 or 4.7?

s47 - no don't think i know Tony, i have bumped into one of the Cat owners who has a Gulf coloured one, can't think what his name is - doh!

DJ/Crunchie - ha ha you found me you rogues......

Mr Hatter - well i do tend to rack up miles, so quite possible that you've seen the old one or the new one 'somewhere' - haven't done a run with the Cat boys for a while, did a few more when my old pal James still had his Kwaky Green Superlight R......

and Toby.......ha ha, well i wouldnt mind one of 'those' Tigers......not quite as much fun i suspect for early morning twisty blatting...

Rob K - i'm near Brands but have pals with kits further East, notably a good pal - Nigel who owns a Tiger who is over in Canterbury....if he and i are going out we normally split the difference and start at Maidstone services and shoot down to Deal/Rye etc.......
