Just watched the latest offering from Fifth Gear, had a feature on the Donkervoort D8GTO, I have quite liked their representation of the 7 theme in the past. This new one looks a bit too batman looking for my liking, they have been playing with the design for a while now so I guess that's what folks like.... Weighing in at 695kgs it's not particularly light either, and the same goes for the price.......... Its a case of if you have to ask then you probably can't afford it.... topping out at 98 grand !!!!! Audi's 2.5 380bhp powers it which gives a 0 - 62 in 2.8 secs. What did you reckon?.

Also features a Cat 7, TVR and an S2000.

looks like it came from Chrysler Usa's design studio, remember the prowler
Hard to tell from a photo need to see it in the flesh, but at £95K I'm not in the Q however nice it is in real life.
It maybe a bit like the new 'F' type jag which looks awful in photo's and worse still when you see it compared to an 'E' type.
I'm sure there's gonna be plenty who like it though, what did 5th gear think about it? Hey what channel is 5th gear on these days, just checked 5OD couldn't see 5th gear on there?

Hi, It's on Discovery UK, moved over just like Wheeler Dealers as well. Vicky was driving it and thought it was ok, but the price even for her seemed a little over the top for what it was. The moving shots do show some better lines off, but I guess I am a classic guy at the end of the day and not that keen on design changes for the sake of it, you certainly would not confuse it with any other flavour of 7 put it that way. And I hadn't realised that the marque had recently won a 24 hr race as well, so they are proving it's reliable to.

Of course the E type is top of the tree, but the F type is a cracking car
I do like the Donkervoort, but i think the price is a real issue, for half that money i could build a cracking Ultima GTR or stick a breathed on Audi S3 turbocharged engine in an Exige.

I rather like the F Type in fact I prefer it to most E Types apart from the lightweight ones.

Believe me, you really need to see that thing in the flesh. Absolutely stunning!
Still prefer the Caterham though, as those Donkervoorts are more for the "man bag" type of guys...

I can imagine it looks better in the flesh, but I am with you on the more classic looking 7..... WD has a Lotus Elise on this week...

Just picking up on the general nuance here.
