OK spoken to Baldrick. He's up for it, but he trashed my tent at some festival earlier! Where's the :you ******* smilie: when you need it?

So, think we might be there, Bathtub will not be going on the track, will try and get there Friday, but more likely Sat lunch ish!

Just curious

No just unforgiving tyre walls and banks - you'll be fine no hedges to wipe out

Actually the track is very wide with loads of tarmac to run off on.

You have to be a muppet to do any serious damage there.

The only time I have actually temporally not been pointing in the direction I wanted to on track was at Llandow, I didn't actually spin but had to hit the brakes and keep steering ALOT - there was so much room that nothing bad happened.

Afterwards sent the car to Uncle Albert who told me that one of the front shocks was so loose it was about it fall off.

You'll be fine untill you strap yourself into Yob's passenger seat.

Carl - top man Many thanks for organising.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first track day and will look forward to others now once the Hedgetrimmer is sorted.

The car and I got back to Great Missenden at 11:30 pm thanks to the RAC and a bit of bluffing by me and the guest house landlord - "he's been touring around Wales for two days" Seems that the raised manhole cover I hit on holiday a few weeks ago did more damage than was thought to the engine mounts and the stress brought on by the track day just exacerbated the problem. Engine is OK though so should be up and running again after a spell up at Uncle Albert's.

So thanks to Steve Shaw, and Kev for helping me get the Hedgetrimmer sorted out and also thanks to Dicks for brilliant advice on driving on the track.

And thanks again for Carl for fixing the weather. Who'd be a Meteorologist in the UK eh?
