As it is a while since we've eaten and drunk significantly (or to excess), who's up for lunch?

I have just had lunch at a place that I think would suit.

Simple old skool Dickensian Chophouse menu - meat, meat and more meat and the waitress will ask if you want a sausage on the side of whatever you order. Decent wine list too... and everything at very unlike-City prices despite being just off Cornhill.

Suggest Friday 25 February. Meet at the Counting House (Fuller's!) on Cornhill at midday for a beer and then we'll head off to the restaurant for a 1pm booking.

Lunch, 5min away, 1:15pm (currently booked for 8 people)

So, what is the Restaurant name, etc???
And Lunch - not Dinner?

As above, old wordle, Dickensian chophouse - good, honest meaty food at sensible prices in a great environment/atmosphere.

No reason to have a lunch rather than a dinner other than someone suggested we hadn't had a lunch in a while and I like going to lunch!

Hotel booked - now booking train in advance for cheaper ticket
Just to onenway, as have no idea what time we'll be heading back Saturday..

As Hedge knows, there's a great cafe for breakfast in Chiswick.... join me there and we get on it again thereafter!
