Ok chaps - the PLANNING starts here!

So, what are the boy's thoughts?
Exact same trip, with just the dates changed?
Or, the existing trip as the base, with some changes/additions?
Or, some other variation...?

I have 'promised' the hotels we WILL be back...
And we have potentially Frank's 'village stop' to factor back in, if Frank can re-arrange that?
(Frank, can you re-arrange that?)

So, thoughts on dates?

I'm up for leaving after 11th July.
In 2017, Le Park Life was 19th to 28th July.

Ok chaps - we really need to fix dates, and the duration.
TeaBag has requested two nights at Le Chateau too...
And we have potentially Frank's 'village stop' to factor back in, if Frank can re-arrange that?
(Frank, can you re-arrange that?)

Thouhgts?

The suggested itinerary is basically as before:

  • Overnight ferry, depart Portsmouth 23:00 (date to be defined).
  • Stop 1: 2 nights near the seaside at Hotel Cote Lac.
  • Stop 2: 2 nights at L'Escala Dau Lemosi.
  • Stop 3: 2 nights at L'île Ô Reflets.
  • (near Fai's restaurant Le Manoir de Saint Quentin, where we'll have lunch on the rest day)
  • Stop 4: 2 nights stop at Le Chateau.
  • Usual evening return ferry from Cherbourg to Portsmouth.
  • Total 8 days away.
  • (Plus the first day in the UK travelling down to the Ferry)

Does that work for all?

So - dates?
Two suggestions are:

Leave, Monday 11th July on overnight ferry, Portsmouth to Le Havre.
Return, Wednesday 20th July, Cherbourg to Portsmouth.

or

Leave, Monday 18th July on overnight ferry, Portsmouth to Le Havre.
Return, Wednesday 27th July, Cherbourg to Portsmouth.
