Thanks chaps... Armadillo - you know exactly what aeroscreeners wear when it's raining - grimaces!I have a D3O hat I wear if I need any head protection in the car (couldn't feel a thing when I put it on in the hailstorm) and have a general dislike of hoods... I prefer to wear a coat and a hat rather than a coat with a hood but as Eugene says, there are times when having a hood can be useful.

		Course I was talking about waterproofs... to avoid hail I'd say a Davida which Le Presidente strongly recommends Armadillo is in The Douro Valley and waiting for you.

		Nope... mine (got what with side flaps and abeanie) were, think, made by Ignite... but don't seem to be available any more.
