Routes are ready

Sygic route files
https://www.7-dna.com/forums/shared_files/storage/Piccys/longwayhome2018sygic.zip

Locate storage on your phone (either on-phone memory or plug-in memory card, depends where you installed Sygic). Then unzip and copy Sygic route files to this folder: \Android\data\com.sygic.aura\files\Res\itinerary

Tyre route files
These are optional, only needed if you want to view routes on a PC/Mac using Tyre/MyRoute-app/etc.
https://www.7-dna.com/forums/shared_files/storage/Piccys/longwayhome2018tyre.zip

Sygic routing options
Go to Sygic menu > Settings > Route Planning, then choose options as follows:
(Steve will no doubt be along to correct this)

Tutorial sessions may be available on the ferry

Ah so now the fun begins........ Anyone trying to loading routes on an iphone.. I have a basic android phone I will be using for the trip (don't like the idea of having £££ attached to the dash on a $1 bit of plastic.), but what the hell thought I might load the routes today in the office on my iphone. Have done this before using dropbox and all ok. Today Sygic has decided "dropbox cloud service is temporarily unavailable"...

Anyone done this before using icloud? Do you have to share the files via itunes to load them? Really can't be arsed to load itunes just to load a file.
Plug in the old android tonight then.....

There have been a lot of issues discussed on the crap apple shite...
Basically, you should be able to use DropBox to load the routes, but with apple shite it is hit-and-miss if it works...

Mrs TeaBag loves her Apple products, but we do sometimes need a seance to get permission from Mr Jobs to do the most basic things.

Official comment from Sygic techie peeps is that you can't load externally-created routes into their iOS version but can into the Android app.

That was in 2016... still be case last year... ditto this week when I emailed them!

I will be travelling with my iPhone for telecoms and tunes and an Android phone purely for Nav. 2x USB sockets in car so can recharge both on the move.
