If you've a few minutes, have a look at this:

Vain I know... but I am spottable (mostly briefly) at 0:05, 0:10 with my wife Lynn (despite it being approx 6:15am!), to the sign's left at 0:39, at 1:52; it is my catastrophic puncture in the background at 2:34 and finally laughing (dementedly with a beer) at 3:42!

It looks very much easier in the video that I remember it being!

Despite the pain of last year's ride, I am doing it again!

As with last year, I will be riding a ridiculously long way to raise funds for Shooting Star Chase - a charity that provides children's hospice care.

The ride is on Friday in eight weeks' time: 11 May and will be circa 100 miles from Chiswick to the New Forest.

Any contributions would be gratefully received to motivate the training I need to do to transform myself from a beer-drinking unfit hedonist into a MAMIL!

For more info, see here.

To temper my excitement that we're off on our blat next month... this bike ride is in ten days' time!

The ride is the day after tomorrow and the route has been published - the distance (assuming I follow the route diligently/accurately) is exactly 100 miles.

My training has been varied having been hampered by a case of tennis elbow (who knew you could get it watching the sport!) which has still not abated but the rides I have done felt good, so with the experience of last year, I am confident(ish).

A number of you have been very generous and sponsored me - thank you so much but I am a tad away from my target, so if anyone else would like to contribute, that'd be very much appreciated.

If anyone wants to track my position tomorrow as I head to the New Forest (via five Fuller's pub... but no beer until the end - honest! ), you can do so here

Have a look at this...

If you look at the gradient profile between 50 and 75 miles, it'll explain my lack of a sense of humour at the Bishop on the Bridge!
