It would actually be good to have a couple of separate groups...

I suspect Plugwash and Hatter will do 2 days with me, but if others want to do different routes over a longer time, go for it!

Chaps as a suggestion for the two and a half day trip - how about something like;

Tuesday - Bilbao - via Pau (lunch) and then overnight in Bergerac 8.5 - 9 hours 500 kms (We'll be gagging for a good long drive after being cooped up on that boat!)
Wednesday - Bergerac to La Rochelle or another (smaller?) town on the sea up in that direction. 237 kms 4 hours
Thursday - La Rochelle to Hotel De France 72340 LA CHARTRE SUR LE LOIR - 4.5 - 5 hours 283 kms

All on D-roads.

Feel free to add suggestions.......

Although not a fully fledged/paid up member of the BOG club, I'm up for this extended trip to CLM. For the return, will probably have to depart Sunday lunchtime as I don't want to miss the Tour de France going through Epping on Monday.

I am thinking 2 days blatting from Bilbao
7 hours per day of top quality brisk blatting action, plus our usual lunch stop
One extra overnight stop somewhere halfway and on to Le Bounty

It might be a good idea to have more than one group by the sound of things as big groups are much harder to keep together.

It's 509 miles to Le Mans , we got a full tanks of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
