Just to get some idea what the caterhams run or any other type of 7 for track or road.
This year I have with the help of my friend Ben who does all the corner weights and setup for me, trying different angles.
I built the car with Birkin std top wish bone 7 deg, I then bought there racing arm 3 deg, I made a jig and changed the 7 ones to 5 deg now we were getting somewhere with good handling.
The birkin arms are not adjustable until I changed my 3 deg set to 4 deg and fitted narrower but stronger sleeves and one single needle roller with spacer washers on each side.
With 4mm both sides of the bush will give adjustment which is 1 deg each way, the best setting is supposed to be 4 to 4,5 deg
7 was hard to turn in 3 was like power steering and the car felt nerves, 5 was good and helped knock seconds of my lap times, the camber has been set to get the best tyre temp across the tread.
I think it was up to 2,5 deg camber which was to much, and then worked back to 2 deg on the front with 1,25 on the rear and it certainly feels good.
I will get to try it at Kyalami next week with the first meeting under the new ownership.

I have to say, I'm not sure... I'll measure when I get a chance.
But, it is the standard Caterham Wide Track set-up!

Well after making a new jig and changing the arms to 4 deg, it was time to get it on the machine and see how much it would need adjusting.
The left was 4 deg and 5 min and the right was 3 deg 55 min that's almost perfect as a 1mm shim would move it 15 minutes, and the steering feels very good.
