Oil is oil, right...? Not according to Dave Gemzoe (who some on you may know via L7C and facebook groups).

Dave did some research and found that Millers NT+ liberated 5% more power and torque than Shell Helix... so potentially a very cheap upgrade, even if the oil is expensive per se.

As a 0-30 oil I would kinda expect that...
But no way I am putting 0-30 in Eugene!

both were 0w30 oils... yet one allowed the engine to develop 5% more power.

The Shell Helix was 5w-30???

oops... missed that! doh! (where's the face plant emoji?)

though both being xw30, won't they have similar viscosity at high, ie running, temperatures?
