There is something rotten in the state of my silencer. Could do with a new 4-1 collector too, as one of the retaining "fins" has snapped.

Now I know it's a cardinal sin on BC to even suggest going elsewhere for parts and not paying CC's frankly outrageous captive-audience prices, but if I can save a few bob I'm all for it.

So, K-Series side-exit exhaust silencer (or muffler, if you're a Septic) and 4 into 1 collector.

Where do I go?

I don't need a complete new system in stainless steel! Do these people just sell the off-the-shelf bits too?

That would keep the scrutineers entertained! Getting the spdecibel meter 1 metre away at an angle of 45deg would be a challenge!

hmmmm......

Picked it up from the welders today. He's done a brilliant job and it's as good as new if not better - he added some strengthening braces either side of where the pipe goes into the silencer.

All for the princely sum of £42.

Indeed, although he did consider reviewing his pricing when I told him how much a replacement would have cost!
