Many moons ago I started similar threads on BC & PH and they proved popular, the Lotus7 Series 4, has many differences and uses many different parts to the S3 Lotus and Caterham 7's
I've totally rebuilt my S4 and have encountered most of the problems associated with this model, If your S4 has a problem ask on this thread. I and many others will try to help.

Hi s47, whilst I don't own a Lotus ( I can dream ) can you post the bigger version of your avatar please, just as the forum logo shows I do like the lines of the side view. I am so tempted to go to clamshells as I do like that "classic" 50's look, and together with the flowing lines into the rear wheel arch it looks great.

Be happy to BUT:-
I'm not a technophobe + I'm new to 7dna I can't work out how to upload/insert photo, most forums have a button for this where's 7dna's 'insert pic 'located?
It's probably obvious to everyone - but not me

Try the 'camera' icon above where you type your message????
Just enter the actual URL for the image, not a URL to the site hosting the image.

For example, to use flickr do the following:

You need to view the image you want in flickr, then right click to get the options for the various sizes, and select the one you want...
Then right click that image and select 'View Image' - that will then directly open the image on its own - no 'flickr' stuff around this displayed image.
That URL is then what you place into the 'BB Code for Picture Insertion' option (the button that looks like a small camera)

I use a free website like Imageshack, but there are loads the same, just upload the pic and copy the coding it gives you back into the post via (as Eugene says) the button, I use the url link one, but they are much the same really depending on the forums software.

RE - Picture uploads here's one of my car from flickr
OOps if that's how it's done then I'm afraid I can't post the avatar in full res coz I only have it on my PC, not on flickr or similar My flickr account is maxed out at the mo'
It's a shame the avatar uploader only allows images of 50x50px most site avatars are 100x100 which would be better for my avatar, reducing it to 50x50 has lost all the definition

Edit
I guess it didn't work - bloody technology

You didn't copy the actual URL to the image - you had the URL to the page with the image within it...
If you do a 'right click' on the image and selected 'View Image' that takes you to the actual image - and you can then copy that URL.

That last [/url] is not needed.
Your are mixing the ImageShack code with the forum's own code....

Just checked my Flickr account - it would appear they've increased the number of photo's you can upload, it's gone up from 200photo's to 1TB of webspace - doh!
Now all I have to do is work out how to work the 7dna upload procedure [Eugene whats wrong with a simple upload button ]
So hopefully here's my avatar photo in full res
