So, here goes, needed a drive shaft cos
one was bent- you could see it on a rolling road whilst slowing down.
Anyway I spoke to James Whiting & he told me to hang on as he was sorting a complete upgrade for the ital.
He has done one on a ford axle, one on a drum brakes ital & now mine a full upgrade.
He's working with rakeway to replace the half shafts, bearings in a separate hub bolted to the axle, which can also include a disc conversion, all very top stuff & should make it strong as an ox. Feels slightly better braking & sturdier with a wider track thrown in. It ain't cheap but resolves all the failures within the ital axle.
Anyone interested should call James Whiting & have a nice chat.
I can recommend this ace conversion.
This can be done on ford axles & with either ford or drilled discs for ital.
