Anyways, In need of just a simple metal chassis tube I measured an outer diameter of one inch. Over here in Holland I they measure the inner diameter of the tube. The half inch tube would be smaller and the 3/4 inch tube has a larger outer diameter.
Anyone knows how that works in UK and if it's easy to get hold of? Eager to get the Caterham up and running, but it already has a rewelded chassis tube, which sits in the way of the throttle system.
Was thinking of rerouting the chassis tube that's running under the throttle bodies.

It depends on the "schedule" or wall thickness of the pipe, maybe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nominal_Pipe_Size will help you to reverse dimension what you need.

Thanks. Bit in a hurry at the moment. Decided to get a tube just a bit smaller. I'm planning on having a reskin in one or two years anyway, so Arch, or whoever I bring the car to, can fix it then. Just desperate to get the car up and running again.
