I've been lurking here but not posted much. Maybe this is a question you can help with.

I fitting an Aluminium Tonneau and boot cover and have ordered up all the bits. The two rear brackets are seem straight forward but the front dash mount seems a bit vague. The part Caterham have supplied is a curved tube with tabs that clearly attach to the dash, but how does it hold the tonneau? Anyone got any experience of fitting one?

Thanks,

David.

Hope this works

I'm guessing it makes a slot with the edge of the scuttle??

From my understanding the tonneau does go under the lip of the scuttle at the front, so I think you are right about that tube - it fits under the tonneau to 'push' it up under the scuttle lip...

I'll see if Uncle Albert knows more!

Hi DCL .
It is correct that the tube traps the tonneau between the scuttle and tube it is a tricky job to mark the position of the holes ,
put masking tape on dashboard to make it easier to see where you mark the holes.
Best of luck

Thanks - it all makes more sense now. It is one of many jobs to do over the winter, but I'll post some photos when it's done.
