If you have registered and paid your BARC membership you should be getting sticker decals later this week.

For clarification here is how to calculate your power to weight figure for our class structures.
5 litres of fuel equates to approximately 4.5kg (900g per litre).
Divide 1000 by weight of car inclusive of driver and fuel, then multiply that figure with engine flywheel power. Then the total is your power to weight figure.

Example
Car weighs 500g, driver 85kg and fuel 4.5kg. Total weight = 589.5kg
1000 divided by 589.5 = 1.696
Power of car = 185bhp at flywheel
Multiply 1.696 X 185 = 313.8 power to weight ratio

Hope this helps. But don't worry about getting it exact the class structure is designed to be approximate and we certainly do not want you running off down the dyno road. We wish for the entrant to be honest, you all know your engine specification, thus power. However, we may check weight at some point especially if one car disappears off into the distance from other class competitors. Its all about having some clean honest competitive fun.

Good god, I need to lose 10kg again, at my present weight I've only got 499.59bhp/tonne. What bloody use is that to anybody

Hi

I have introduced myself and my cars (both Class B) at

http://www.7-dna.com/forums/index.php?action=vthread&forum=8&topic=436

I am looking to enter the following races:

5/4/13 Rockingham
2/6/14 Lydden
26-27/7/14 Brands
20/9/14 Thruxton (only raced there once before and had to make a quick visit to the toilet immediately after the race)

I will be at the Donnington event, but entered in the RAFMSA races.

The October Lydden clashes with another RAFMSA race at Oulton, but if the 7esque grids are looking good may choose to do Lydden instead.

As for the additional possible races, I would do the Snetterton one, but that would be instead of the Brands event (I only have enough spondoolies for one event a month). Re the Brands event in November, I would probably do it if the weather was OK. Although if BARC were having their inter championship challenge at Rockingham, I would prefer to do that instead.

Looking forward to meeting you all. I know some other 7esque RAFMSA racers who may join in later in the season depending on how their finances are.

Hi Billy, thanks for heads up Will be great to see you and the yellow Hornet again, it does make a great noise
Your quite handy by the looks of things, well done

The club intend to put a hog roast on and a live band after the racing at the Lydden June meeting, so taking a tent or sleeping bag maybe the order of the day

Hi All

Currently have my car up for sale but tempted to keep it and do some of these. Do you know if there are any other R300s signing up? Or similar paced cars?

Hi Jonathan, I can see loads of R300 up for sale I don't understand why?

Hope you keep it though and race with us. You would be in class 2 which is the most popular class registered to date, don't know numbers right now but suspect it's circa 12 so looking good😉

Don't think there is any particular reason Ian, but there are quite a few for sale or that have been sold. Think I'm keeping mine so may join you for a round or two this year!
