Anyone else follow this series ?, after finding a snide website offering downloads some years ago I am now hooked, far better racing than our BTCC IMO, also for those who watch Moto GP, you will already have known that Casey Stoner is not competing on two wheels this year, swapping over to the 2nd tier series of the V8 supercars, the two time Moto GP champion hasn't had a good season to be honest, with crashes and incidents not always being of his own making, there are some rumours he is going back to bikes for next season but I haven't found anything set on stone yet... Also if you followed Le Mans this year you will be aware of the tragedy on lap 3 which saw Danish star Allan Simonson lose his life - he was due to compete in the main game race on Sunday which covers 1000k and has two drivers sharing the car, I do hope there will be some tribute to him as he has been very quick at Bathurst in the past.

If anyone wants my snide download site please PM me, just about to watch the quali sessions , so my evening is spoken for already....

Happy motorsport watching folks..

Autosport this week has a supplement on the race. On live motors tv from 11pm Saturday night until the following morning.

Yes I saw that in the listings, not often do we get actual live stuff, most of it is delayed , and whilst it appears as live, if you know it's delayed it loses something in my book. The shootout that airs before the actual race has aired already, so I spent a very sleepy time watching that this morning. Roll on Sunday morning.

Great vid Toby, I had seen that before, but the impressive bit was that Craig was just one second down on Jenson, mind you Craig did spent a season or two over here, so he was well used to single seaters. Did you see the full 1K race ? , to be honest I fell asleep at about lap 90 something, so still don't know who won, got the race downloading now however, so I will get to find out myself without resorting the the V8SC homepage.

I only watched bits of it. I doubt very much if Jenson was really on it for his demo run as I don't think even with his experience of Bathurst Lowndes would get within a second of Button in car that different from what he's used to racing.

That aside Lowndes is a nutter behind the wheel, he hasn't won all the championships he has if he wasn't...... he is a huge star in Aussyland if what I watch is anyhing to go by...
