Donut, if you do follow up on a starter motor from Cambridge Motorsport they will ask for a critical dimension, taken from the bellhousing/engine interface to the front side of the ring gear. I can't recall your engine type but give all details to C M and they will assist. Thanks again for the beer, keep up the good work.

Cheers LJ, yep popped into see them. About 400 yards down the road now from the new office. I popped the starter off the car last night and took the measurement 33-34mm ish. I took the starter in today and they checked the diameter of the gear on the starter. I did not fit the flywheel and ring gear but they think from this is it likely the pinto style ring gear. Have a new starter on order. Hopefully ready in a couple of days.
