A rare opportunity to own a bit of honda motoring history. Also a light restoration project. Good condition 1978 Honda Civic (Daisy) owned for around 40 years by her now octogenarian owners who I have know for almost as long. 1200 hondamatic in Silver. This belongs to some friends of mine and has been dormant for around 20 years in their garage.

Body is sound with only light surface corrosion under bonnet. It is well preserved in layers of waxoil. 35k miles although the engine was replaced with a unit that had done around 80k (long story that I strongly suspect involves a garage con many years ago). Mechanically it is sound however it currently is a non starter. My own investigations point in the direction of knackered coil and perforated fuel pump diaphragm. I also think that No4 spark plug thread is weak as I was not able to get the plug back in and did not risk cross threading it. The car is complete and original bar engine change. It needs a good dollop of TLC but would make a good project for the beginner or those who want something that does not require thousands spent on it. I have a few pics for anyone interested. Currently located in Weston Super Mare.

Current owner really wants to see it go to an enthusiast rather than scrap. No particularly exciting reg number. I think any offer around the £500 mark would be excepted.
