For those with Carbs, I have a new toy!

An Innovate Motorsports LM-2 Air/Fuel ratio meter.

And a probe clamp for the exhaust.

Already having fun tweaking the jets in Eugene!

Get your dirty probe away from me......
So with a bit a science now to back it up what did you find?

Looking good...

AF Ratio

I seem to be running a decent jet set...
I recently went down a size on the idle jets as I was runnign rather rich - based on the colour of the plugs/exhaust.
This does seem to have worked!

So the peaks are running lean? Don't know really what it should look like but if 14.7 is the target this seems pretty good.... My plugs came out clean when I checked so how does your new setup differ if you remember what you told me you use...... Nice

As the sensor is just poked up the exhaust, on light throttle/gear changes there is air leakage back up the exhaust, so those readings are very lean... and can be ignored.
But yes, 14.7 is 'ideal for a managed engine (injection) with carbs probably needing to be a bit richer.
Based on this, the setup I have looks close to ideal - so far!

The main change is the idles are now 45f9...
