I still prefer the petrol powered pedal under my right foot. Especially in a weather as today. + 30 degrees celcius. Too hot to work, too hot to mow the lawn...

The Beacon is nowhere near steep enough and bendy enough for a bike to beat the car.

Now running off Dartmoor that's another box of tricks all together, have had cars pull over and let me through before

A382 from Moretonhampstead is the road for a bike to do a car. Lots of blind corners/crests with some single width stretches that the bike can get through but a car can't if someone is coming the other way.

Drops down from the top of the moor and you can see the sea 10 miles in the distance from the top. Magic
