don't know whether anyone would fancy joining in.....
for the past 3 years we've made a point of having a run out on Rem Day...i posted it on various forums the 1st year and got a bit teed off with a load of neg head comments from folks who hadn't really read the plan/agenda properly......so for the past 2 years have kept it to ourselves in skcc.......
But in the spirit of openness.......

On the day we meet close to the junc of teh a24/a272.....usual pre blat banter ahead of a 50 odd miler to brekkie which is near Cowfold in West Sussex. We chow down on a healthy full english and then in formation complete the run in semi blat / sensible mode til we get close to the place where we've been for teh last 3 years.....we form up, potter up the lane and then pay our respects alongside the locals and lay our wreath.

i deliberately picked a spot in the country where we can easily park, where the attendence would be quite low and where the impact woudl be minimal.....the locals have all been most interested and most gracious.....

so if anyone is in the area and fancies joining in - you can drop me a note and i'll confirm timings nearer the day.....
from memory we have the first full blat around 7.30, we get to brekkie at a shde before 9 and we HAVE to leave at 10 for teh final 15 miles to get there with time to spare......

Quick update as we did this run out today......
various snippets / reports from some of those that went on the run can be found via the linky......

This was the 3rd year that we have arrived to pay tribute at this Memorial, with the locals welcoming us ' oh isn't this the 3rd year you've come along, kind of you to join us......etc'. Even more blown away when they realised that some of our crew had come 100 miles or so from east kent......pity the roads were a tad damp, but with the sun shining a stunning day to be out in the cars and a super little service pretty much in the middle of nowhere....

Was a great day for it as well - our Moon & Stars gathering was also well attended, and great fun!

Thank god no one was hurt, that nearly was unavoidable ,what a arse. I do hope the police take action and get this idiot off the rd.
