As we spoke about on the last trip, I've spoken via email to a car transport company who are willing to take up to eight cars to a European drop off point so that we could extend our range beyond France, Northern Spain etc, and drive home from, say Croatia or the like....

I'm assuming we'd take seven days to drive home after flying en masse to the drop-off point which really opens Europe up to us. Question really is, where do we want to start from if this is of interest?

As soon as we've agreed a drop off point we can get a price and see how it looks......

Sounds just like my idea from 2015.
Put the cars on a train in Holland and head for north Italy.

Sadly Hatter's suggestion is no longer available....but there certainly are a couple of options from Paris and Düsseldorf....

For me, it's all down to the cost and time taken...
So, if we suggest north Italy as a suggested location, what would the cost be?
An then how do we get there?

Me too... a week-long trip (three days driving, a day off and then three more days?) would be great and maxing at £1500 all in (ie travel, fuel, accommodation, food etc)
July's trip I reckon was circa £1250 for me (oh... plus a new rear wing! )

I'd love to know the likely cost for shipping 8x 7s to 'The Lakes' and back...
From that cost we can start to decide what is viable, or not.

With the 'Portugal' proposal, I think Uncle Albert's suggestion is we would use the Ferry to get to Santander/Bilbao, and then spend a few days driving in/around north Portugal, and then a few days driving back up through France...

OK - my thoughts on this were a one-way lift down on a transporter, we then fly down to meet it and then drive back taking our time to explore etc.

So how about, just for initial costing purposes, I get a price from Stevenage to Florence?
