...to get the ball rolling...
Had a magic blat to a New Years Classic Car meeting on Wednesday, nothing else on the roads - well it was torrential rain and flooding down here in the West Country - wonderful fun As only a total of 8 classics turned up I now have much respect for making it in the 7

Hi Dave - great to see you here

For those of you that don't know Dave, he is the man responsible the existence of The 7 Club!

And he was the first person I met with a 7 after I purchased Eugene, and we met in the South of France, after Le Mans, back in 1987, or so...

Dave, you have to post details about your 7, and the Dino!!!!

I still want first refusal on that Dino when you decide it's time to get something else!!!

As for the 7, that's how we love 'em - especially within Le BOG Club

And hopefully we'll be seeing you at Classic Le Mans - have you checked-out the special polo/t-shirts???

Well, Classic Car Weekly, bless them, carried this in this week's copy:

Wet

or:
http://thumbsnap.com/s/Zr69vKEl.jpg?0110

Not a particularly accurate description but close-ish.

Unfortunately we did find a piece of flooded road that was deeper than it looked and consequently entered a wee bit on the quick side resulting in the classic 7 trick of watching a wall of water rising up and then falling down on the car. Engine immediately went on to one cylinder but by blipping the throttle soon managed to pick up the other cylinders and progressed a little more sedately through the rest of the river

The river burst it's banks at Haselbury but the barn where we were parked and where the nosh was, was OK - at least until we left...

The half hood worked admirably (not one of the new types but just a modified old roof that I basterdised back in the 80's - about the same time as Dikko did his) and also the locals now know why I have the holes in the floor panels!! (it lets out what comes in...)
and some...
