I'd spent a few months looking for a replacement, still wanted the wind in my hair and 3rd degree sunburn in the summer, so I decided to get a Porsche Boxster

Found this one for sale locally at a well respected independent dealer.

Good service history and options, took a test drive and I was hooked!
Mine is a 2005 987 Boxster S, 3.2 280 bhp engine

Picked the car up last Wednesday, took the day off on Friday and planned a 100 mile blast, out towards Grafham water, northish to Uppingham then looping round towards Market Harborough back to home

Zipping between 2nd & 3rd gear corners with the flat-six singing away behind me...obviously no speed limits broken



Completely different animal to other cars I've had, nice and civilised when pottering round but all hell breaks loose when the loud pedal is pressed

Yep, they are...car designers at Porsche have the easiest job in the world.

At least mine is a proper mid-engined sports car, not one of those beetles with the engine hanging out the back
