Hi guys, just thought I would introduce myself - my name's Dom and I live in Newport South Wales. I've enjoyed a couple of 7 DNA vehicles in the past including a Westfield narrow body with Toyota 4AGE and a Sylva Phoenix with Toyota 4AGZE supercharged in the past. The beloved Phoenix had to go back in 2008 when I had to close my business due to the recession.

5 years on and I'm in the position where I can start to scratch that old 7 itch! Budget is still limited so I could not afford anything at the top end of the market, but the "previously abused" Tiger Cat I found has started to become a bit of a love affair with the planned budget already well and truly blown!

She's a 2003 example that the previous owner had part installed a Ford ST170 Zetec type 2l, running on GSXR throttle bodies and Megasquirt ECU. Since I bought her at the end of August the following work has been completed:

MSA approved roll cage installed
Rolling road session resulting in 175bhp at the flywheel
Dash wiring completely replaced and master switch installed as ignition key deleted
Savage switches installed
New carbon dash with rolled edges and recess for digidash made one off and installed
Race Technology Digidash installed with matching loom to integrate with Megasquirt ECU seamlessly
Aero screen wrapped in carbon vinyl
Lights and indicators on rear all replaced with led lights
Mot passed
Suspension bushes/set up upgraded with Flo Flex polybushes
Steering wheel replaced and quick release boss installed
One off Pedal box designed and fitted to reduce heat from engine bay getting into footwell
Gearknob replaced
Boot box cover designed and fitted in carbon finish
K&N Air filters fitted
Tunnel cover in carbon fitted
Mirrors replaced
Fuel cap replaced with Aero flush fit cap
12v supply under dash installed for sat nav/phone charging
Harnesses replaced with TRS 3" belts and arm restraints

Left to do:
Crankshaft oil seal - failed during rolling road session so motor has to come out to repair. Doh!
Escort quick rack to be installed to reduce turn to 2.4 turns lock to lock
New style nose cone to be fitted to improve appearance

I'm hoping she will be on the road sometime in January - fingers crossed! I'm an all season user of my 7s, so I can't wait to don my helmet and go play

I haven't been able to figure out how to add photos to topics yet (doh!), but when I do I will add a couple to show the work in progress...

Cheers
Dom

Hi Dom - saw your piccy attempts...

The probelm is you are not linking directly to the actual image - you are linking to the photobucket page with the image within it...

A Piccy

If you link to the actual piccy it works

Thanks mate - just figured that out now! LOL

Photobucket wasn't offering a Direct Link option so I eventually found the url by right clicking and selecting Properties. That gave me the picture URL.... finally

We have a very eclectic group here, and most love all 'alternate' vehicles with a 7-DNA - just keep them away from consuming too much alcohol!!!

Hi Carl, yes still ongoing. Should be on the road in January. Motor is ready to pull out for the crank seal and quick rack will be installed whilst it's out. The rest is then finer fettling to get the Digidash all configured correctly and she should be good to go.

I'll post on here when she's back on the road.
